Aaron Cho

Aaron is an associate at Band Venture Partners. His responsibilities include identifying investable themes and mapping opportunities to deploy digital technologies into mature businesses, and originating, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities.

Prior to joining Band, Aaron worked in various roles, ranging from technical engineering consulting, construction, software development, solution development/implementation, oil and gas exploration, and regulatory/permitting. He has worked on some of Canada's largest infrastructure projects, including the Transmountain Expansion project. In all his roles he has used technology to automate processes and build tech-first cultures – and a reputation for tech expertise.

Aaron received an MBA with a specialization in Management Analytics from the Haskayne School of Business and a BSc in mechanical engineering from the Schulich University of Calgary School of Engineering. In his spare time, his relentless pursuit of knowledge and passion for technology has him busy developing skills in web development, machine learning, and AI. He is a first-generation Canadian and a born-and-raised Calgarian and is excited to bridge the gap between his passions for technology and entrepreneurship through venture.
